Networking code of conduct

There are a few people who get it, and can write very clearly what networking is all about. I just read a great blog of Jim Stroud: Why Social Networks Don’t Work

He compiled a guide of conduct for networking:
1. Do not ask for anything, but give:
* Offer an Idea
* Offer information
* Offer introductions
2. Do not connect, unless you want to get to know them
3. Keep in touch
4. Be selective when accepting an invitation (this goes for LinkedIn)
